The post holder is required to work 37.5 hours per week on a shift rotation, during which a 15‑minute paid break and a 30‑minute unpaid break is included. Shift A: 07:00 – 15:00; Shift B: 10:00 – 18:00. Staff will rotate between the shifts at a frequency to be agreed with the Deputy Estates Manager. During the school holidays, both shifts will be 07:00 – 15:00 or 08:00 – 16:00.

Job Introduction

This is an exciting opportunity for a person to become a member of Wycombe Abbey’s Maintenance Team, who deliver exceptional support to a world‑class establishment.

The successful candidate will drive vehicles to transport laundry, furniture and other goods as requested, assemble flat‑pack furniture and other basic DIY tasks as required, and carry out statutory health and safety compliance checks on buildings. The ideal candidate will have a full current driving licence, experience of working with power tools and hand tools and the ability to lift, climb and work at height.

Contract: Permanent, Full‑time.

Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week on a shift rotation with a 15‑minute paid break and a 30‑minute unpaid break.

Salary: £26,613 per annum.
