Logistics Automation Engineer (Material Flow)

Location: Bridgwater, Somerset, United Kingdom

Join Agratas, a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons, to design and deliver automated material flow solutions for our new greenfield battery manufacturing facility. Your work will shape our global logistics strategy, ensuring seamless integration of AGV and ASRS technologies across production, warehousing and plant‑wide movement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all aspects of AGV solution delivery across the UK plant.
  • Manage logistics automation suppliers to ensure technical compliance, change control, and on‑time, in‑budget project delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure site and building readiness, utilities integration, and safe system deployment.
  • Develop and maintain detailed material flow strategies.
  • Support the creation and continuous improvement of our global logistics and automation strategy.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in the design to commissioning of AGV systems, ideally within advanced manufacturing sectors.
  • Strong understanding of AGV Fleet Management Systems and their integration with higher‑level systems such as WMS or MES.
  • Expertise in material flow design from conceptual strategy through to operational deployment and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering logistics automation projects using structured project management methodologies.
