A local volunteering organization is seeking volunteers for the Learning Team to deliver Victorian-themed lessons and support school visits at a museum. This role involves engaging with children and promoting historical education through interactive sessions. Training will be provided, and a commitment of at least one session per month is expected.
Our museum tells the story of early primary education and the social history of childhood.
We are looking for volunteers to join our Learning Team, delivering lessons in our Victorian Classrooms or teaching social history sessions to school trips.
Educational sessions usually take place 9.45–1.30 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Please be available for at least one session each month; more sessions are welcome. Training is provided.
Free parking is available for volunteers at a site a five-minute walk from the museum.
