About the Role

Thurstable School would like to appoint a compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant with Medical Care responsibilities to join our inclusive and supportive school community.

You will provide support to students with intimate medical and personal care needs, including administering medication, supporting personal hygiene and toileting, and following individual healthcare plans. You will work closely with teachers, the SENCO, families, and health professionals to ensure students' safety, dignity, and wellbeing at all times.

In addition, you will provide support across all subject areas, working with individuals and small groups to help students access lessons, engage with classroom activities, and develop confidence and independence. You will monitor progress, provide feedback to teachers, and help create an inclusive, positive learning environment.

Responsibilities
  • Support students with medical or personal care needs.
  • Administer medication and provide personal hygiene and toileting support.
  • Follow individual healthcare plans and collaborate with teachers, SENCO, families, and health professionals.
  • Assist students across subject areas, helping them access lessons and engage in classroom activities.
