The Den – Home to Millwall football club, founded in 1885, 140 years ago as Millwall Rovers.
Warmly greeting guests, presenting menus, offering expert recommendations, and answering questions about the menu, wine list, and restaurant offerings.
Taking and managing food and drink orders with accuracy, ensuring all dietary restrictions or preferences are accommodated.
Supervising and supporting the waiting team to maintain impeccable service standards.
Serving food and beverages with precision and indicado and efficiency, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the menu, daily specials, and wine pairings to provide expert recommendations.
Monitoring guests’ satisfaction, anticipating their needs, and responding promptly to requests.
Overseeing table settings, cleanliness, and organization to uphold a refined dining experience.
Collaborating with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure seamless service operations.
Assisting in training and mentoring junior waitstaff to enhance team performance.
Ensuring that all guests leave with a positive impression of the restaurant and encouraging repeat visits.
Previous experience as a waiter, preferably in a leadership capacity, within a high-end restaurant.
Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, professional, and approachable demeanour.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lead and support a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Knowledge of fine dining etiquette and wine service is preferred.
A strong team player with a proactive attitude.
Professional appearance and conduct.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
