Lead Practitioner Maths – Budmouth Academy

Location: Dorset Council UK

We are looking for an experienced practitioner in Maths who has a passion for teaching Mathematics and enabling the progression of our students. The role focuses on teaching and learning and requires working closely with the Subject Coordinator for Maths to deliver CPD, coach staff, develop challenging schemes of work, and support curriculum delivery.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality maths teaching and learning. • Work with the Subject Coordinator to design and implement CPD and curriculum. • Coach and support staff to improve teaching practice. • Lead structured monitoring and evaluation of teaching and learning through lesson observations, feedback and work sampling.

Qualifications
  • Ability to inspire and enthuse students.
  • High expectations of students in terms of learning, achievement and behaviour.
  • Ability to take the lead role in developing, implementing and evaluating policies and practices that lead to school improvement.
  • Ability to lead structured monitoring and evaluation of all aspects of teaching and learning through lesson observations, feedback to teaching staff and work sampling.
  • Accredited Lead Practitioner status or desire to work towards Accredited Lead Practitioner status.
