About the role

You will be part of a small survey team, responsible for:

  • Topographical surveys, data collection, and coordination
  • Using equipment like laser scanners and drones
  • Liaising with technicians
  • Working on projects for clients such as Network Rail and the Environment Agency
  • Attending meetings and site visits

Your specific responsibilities include:

  • Conducting drone surveys (LiDAR and photogrammetry)
  • Operating terrestrial scanners for point cloud data collection
  • Processing datasets using RealWorks, Autodesk ReCap, etc.
  • Producing topographical drawings and 3D models in N4CE
  • Planning survey logistics
  • Meeting deadlines and budgets
  • Maintaining quality standards and adhering to ISO 9001 and 19650
  • Communicating effectively with clients and stakeholders
Requirements
  • 2–5 years’ experience in land and structural surveying
  • Proficiency in N4CE
  • Knowledge of RealWorks and/or Autodesk ReCap
  • Comfort with point cloud data
  • Understanding of coordinate systems and geo-referencing
  • Attention to detail and CAD standards
  • UK driving license and willingness to travel
Desirable (not mandatory)
  • Experience with drone operations and GVC certification (training provided)
  • BIM workflow experience
  • Experience in railway or infrastructure environments
