Overview

Laboratory Technician (Environmental Science – Temp to Perm)
Didcot, Oxfordshire | £12.21 per hour | Full time, 39 hours per week

We are seeking a Laboratory Technician to join a leading provider of analytical testing and environmental services in Didcot. This temp-to-perm position is an excellent opportunity for a Chemistry graduate who is able to start immediately and is a motivated individual with practical experience in a fast-paced environment to gain hands-on training in a regulated laboratory setting.

Responsibilities
  • Receive and prepare samples for testing using a variety of analytical techniques.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with UKAS ISO17025, GLP, and laboratory quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to efficient day-to-day laboratory operations.
  • Occasionally travel to client sites (a few times per quarter) to collect environmental samples.
Requirements
  • A degree in Chemistry or a related discipline is highly beneficial, but not essential.
  • Previous laboratory or production line experience (e.g. food or manufacturing) is desirable.
  • Strong motivation, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
  • Immediate availability and ability to commute to Didcot.
  • Full clean UK manual driving licence (essential).
  • First Aid at Work certificate (desirable).
