  • Process all cutlery and crockery through the dishwasher.
  • Ensure waste is disposed of using appropriate recycling bins.
  • Avoid breakages while handling crockery.
  • Maintain a clean work area to food hygiene standards.
  • Prepare the kitchen for the following day's work.

Job description

We are looking for a Full Time ##employmenttype## Kitchen Porter to join the team in our Restaurant in Holland Arms Garden Centre.

Our competitive rates of pay range from £10 to £12.25 per hour dependent on age.

The hours for this role are 32 per weekover 4 days. All positions include weekends regular working so is a must.

The Role

As a Kitchen Porter, you will provide a critical service to both our front and back of house operation ensuring a constant supply of clean crockery, cutlery and equipment. You will be trained in the safe operation of the pot wash equipment and take responsibility for a productive and clean work area.

What you will be doing as a Kitchen Porter?
  • Using equipment, process all cutlery and crockery through the dishwasher.
  • Make sure waste is disposed of using appropriate recycling bins
  • Take care to avoid breakages
  • Ensure all crockery and dishes are cleaned properly before being used
  • Carry out cleaning of equipment and working areas to the highest food hygiene standards
  • Close down kitchen each day including preparation for the following day.
