We are currently looking to hire an enthusiastic full-time Kitchen Assistant who can help provide the meals service at our Clients Care Home in Ayr!

The ideal candidate will be experienced within a similar role, have a flexible approach to work and be able to work 40 hours per week. You will have a desire to deliver the highest possible standard within the role, have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Previous experience is preferred but not essential as full training will be given.

The Role & Responsibilities

• To help prepare meals under the direction of the Chef
• Ensuring the kitchen and dining areas are hygienically clean and organised
• Help with the storage and stock rotation of food items
• Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment
• Complying with infection control policies and procedures and following appropriate hand hygiene measures

What We Are Looking For

• Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essential
• A positive attitude and a willingness to learn
• Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team
• Understanding of food hygiene practices is a plus

Salary and Benefits

Along with a salary of up to £25,396.80 (plus available overtime), we can offer you:
