About the Client

Our client, BAE Systems – Digital Intelligence, is looking to expand its Platform Engineering capability in the UK National Security sector. The role involves designing, building and maintaining secure, mission‑critical AWS platforms for BAE’s customers.

About the Role

After completing the full‑time training courses you will join BAE Systems as a Platform Engineer and work on real‑world projects. Key responsibilities include:

  • Design, build and maintain scalable, resilient, secure AWS platforms in support of software systems
  • Collaborate with Agile Product teams to deliver mission‑critical systems for customers
  • Leverage a range of AWS services to underpin software products built for BAE’s customers
  • Continue learning through structured training and working alongside experienced engineers
About You
  • Passion for Platform Engineering and software development with an interest in Agile methodologies
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, adaptability and a desire to ‘fix’ things
  • Effective communication with technical and non‑technical stakeholders
  • Motivation by technical challenges and enthusiasm for learning
  • Degree not required; recent work experience or upskilling in technology is acceptable

Travel & Security Clearance

You will work on client sites and return to the base office. The minimum expectation is 3 days per week in the base office, with 4‑5 days as required by the project. Only candidates with the permanent right to live and work in the UK will be considered. A permanent, unrestricted UK government SC clearance will be required prior to starting.
