# JUNIOR DESIGN ENGINEERInteraction Engineering Junior Design Engineer – Automotive & Formula 1 We are looking for a driven and detail-focused Junior Design Engineer to join our cutting-edge engineering team, working across both high-performance automotive and Formula 1 development projects. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative design work within two of the most demanding and rewarding engineering environments. As a Junior Design Engineer, you will support the creation and development of precision components and systems, working closely with experienced engineers in both sectors to bring designs from concept through to manufacture. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the design of mechanical components and systems using industry-standard CAD tools (e.g., Siemens NX, CATIA, SolidWorks). Produce and manage technical drawings, models, and documentation for both automotive and motorsport applications. Work cross-functionally with departments including Aerodynamics, Vehicle Dynamics, Powertrain, and Manufacturing. Contribute to design reviews and the iterative development of components for performance, weight, and reliability. Support prototype and production builds, ensuring design intent is realised during manufacture. Required Qualifications & Skills: A degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Motorsport Engineering (or equivalent). Strong CAD skills with a solid understanding of engineering design principles. Knowledge of materials and manufacturing techniques used in performance automotive and motorsport industries. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. A proactive mindset and willingness to learn in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment. Desirable Experience: Internship, placement, or project experience in automotive or motorsport engineering. Familiarity with FEA, CFD, and PLM systems. Experience with rapid prototyping and design for manufacture (DFM).
