Job summary

A leading manufacturing firm is seeking a Joiner for an immediate start at its Thornley site. This role involves creating and refurbishing wooden items, maintaining woodworking equipment, and following safety protocols. The job is temporary with a chance to become permanent. Regular hours are Monday to Friday with ample overtime opportunities. Experience in woodworking and the ability to operate machinery are required.

Responsibilities

  • Creating items from wood and other materials, for example mould boxes.
  • Refurbishing items, for example mould boxes.
  • General woodworking maintenance tasks around the factory.
  • Ordering and management of all materials required for the mould making.
  • Adhering to health & safety, quality and environmental systems.

Job description

We are seeking a Joiner for an immediate start, to join a well‑established, PLC listed, leading manufacturer at its Thornley site.

Working regular days Monday to Friday, either 07:00 – 15:00 or 08:00 – 16:00, with plenty of overtime available paid at a premium of 1.5× or 2×. This is a temporary position, with an opportunity to go permanent.

  • Ability to operate woodworking machines, Kappa saw / spindle moulder / panel saw / planner, etc.
