About the Role

As an Instrumentation & Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in the execution of our Service and Maintenance Contracts. You will ensure the reliable operation of Instrumentation, Gas Analyzers, and Control Systems, while supporting Compliance, Safety, Security, and Validation activities across a variety of customer sites in Highly Regulated GxP Environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled Instrument Calibrations and Preventive Maintenance on Instrumentation, Gas Analysers, and Control Systems.
  • Support execution of Thermal Mapping and Validation protocols.
  • Conduct major plant servicing, including (training provided):
    • Changing diaphragms on Crane Saunders / Burkert valves.
    • Preparing plants for Insurance Inspections.
    • Performing HEPA Filter Compliance Testing.
    • Fumigation of MSC cabinets.
  • Provide process support troubleshoot process measurement and control issues.
  • Participate in the on-call rota for out-of-hours support (remote and onsite).
  • Provide holiday cover for site-based personnel (Wiltshire area) up to 25 days per year.
Skills & Experience
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years Calibration / Maintenance experience.
  • Strong understanding of Process Measurement, Control, and Automation.
  • Practical experience with Electrical Control Panel Wiring (ELV/LV), including fault-finding.
  • Experience working in Highly Regulated / GxP environments.
  • Familiarity with PLC/SCADA systems and Gas Analysis equipment (advantageous).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent documentation, communication, and IT skills.
Location
  • Predominantly on customer sites (Wiltshire area and Republic of Ireland).
  • Proximity to an airport with flights to Ireland is advantageous.
  • Option to work from the IES UK office (Nottingham) when required.
Other Info
  • The successful candidate must be able to pass BPSS Screening and obtain SC Security Clearance.
  • Full driving licence.
