Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with people who have learning disabilities is essential.
  • You should have a compassionate approach to supporting individuals with learning disabilities.
  • Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively with colleagues and families.
  • Experience in teaching essential life skills, such as budgeting and cooking.
  • Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily routines and support individuals to live independently.
  • Provide support with personal care needs when required.
  • Support with health care needs, including medical appointments.
  • Encourage the development of social skills and emotional resilience.
  • Assist with light domestic tasks to maintain a clean living environment.
  • Create personalized care plans and goals with individuals and their support network.
