Join Eaton’s Aerospace site in South Molton, part of The Fuel and Motion Control Systems (FMC) with three plants in the United Kingdom. The South Molton plant, founded in 1973, focuses on design, manufacture, and test of components for the aerospace sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with plant management to design and deliver HR strategies that meet evolving business needs.
- Develop and implement progressive HR solutions that support plant objectives and foster a positive workplace culture.
- Translate corporate HR practices into effective local operations.
- Facilitate clear and open communication across all levels of the organization.
- Oversee compensation and benefits programs to ensure fairness and compliance.
- Lead employee training and development initiatives, including Supervisor FLEX training.
- Ensure a robust performance management process is in place and effectively utilized.
- Prepare pay settlements for local staff with accuracy and transparency.
- Manage the recruitment process for salaried roles, including organizational design, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Promote a safe and inclusive work environment through effective safety policies, affirmative action programs, and employee engagement events.
- Provide strategic HR guidance to site managers and supervisors, supporting them in decision‑making and team development.
- Collaborate with the Plant Manager to develop and execute Organizational Capability plans, including follow‑up on actions and development goals.
- Champion culture transformation through employee engagement surveys and action planning.
- Advise leaders on employee relations and performance matters, promoting fair and ethical treatment.
- Act as an advocate for employees, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are addressed.
- Contribute to site‑wide initiatives, including Eaton Business System processes and other strategic projects.
- Serve as a member of the site leadership team, helping guide direction for growth and operational excellence.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of HR professionals.
- Ensure occupational health responsibilities are fulfilled in accordance with site policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (BS or BA) in Human Resource Management or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong understanding of current legal trends and HR compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Proven HR generalist experience within professional and dynamic environments.
- Proficiency in HR-related software and tools, including Microsoft Office; experience with HRMS systems.
