Qualifications

  • Must be over 18 with a full UK/EU driving licence for at least 12 months.
  • Able to handle physical tasks, such as moving shopping containers up to 15 kg.

As a Home Delivery Driver, you will be the essential link that delivers everything our online customers shop for at Sainsbury’s.

Eligibility
  • You must be over 18 and have held a full UK/EU driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points on it.
  • During the interview you will complete an online driving risk assessment, and, if successful, a driving assessment upon joining.
  • You must have Right to Work eligibility in the UK.
What you’ll be doing
  • Drive a 3.5‑tonne van to deliver groceries to customers’ doorsteps, on time and in good condition.
  • Perform checks to ensure the van is organised, clean and roadworthy, and that delivery cases are secure before setting out.
  • Serve customers brilliantly, supporting any questions and substitutions, and keeping them aware of any delays.
  • Build knowledge about our products, services and promotions to help provide recommendations.
  • When not delivering, help across the store as needed.
