  • Handle customer enquiries via phone and email regarding deliveries and hire rates.

  • Plan delivery driver routes.

Job description

We are excited to introduce a new opportunity with PQS Survey Ltd, a national leader in construction equipment supply. With a strong commitment to exceeding customer expectations, PQS has grown year on year, boasting high customer retention and continued investment in top-tier staff and equipment.

We’re now looking to welcome an additionalHire Controllerto our busy Leeds depot. This is a fast-paced customer service role, where you’ll handle enquiries over the phone, at the trade counter, and through email. If you’re organised, communicative, and thrive in a dynamic environment, this could be the perfect fit!

Salary Band:Dependant on Experience

Hours:7.30-4.30pm Mon-Fri

Reporting to the Depot Manager you will be responsible for the following:

  • Dealing with customer enquiries via telephone and email in relation to delivery times, hire rates, collections and exchanges etc.
  • Drawing up quotes for customers
  • Booking equipment onto a bespoke system
  • Dealing with customers face to face on the trade counter, resolving issues and prioritising customer requests
  • Using excel & internal hire system
  • Managing customers’ expectations in line with the companies’ ‘customer first’ policy
  • Taking cash and card payments
  • Delivery driver route planning
  • Inter-department liaison to ensure best practice

Our ideal Hire Controller will have the following skills and experience:

  • Excellent telephone manner and communication skills
  • Good all round computer skills
  • To be able to work in a fast paced, and often changing, environment
  • Presentable, professional appearance to represent PQS at front of house

Previous experience of working in the hire industry is highly advantageous. This role comes with full training (a mix of on the job and certified training where required) and the potential for progression.
