Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Bredbury for an HGV Technician at Allied Bakeries. The role involves performing routine maintenance and repairs on a diverse fleet of vehicles to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards. Responsibilities include diagnosing faults, conducting inspections, and carrying out preventative maintenance to minimize downtime. You will also ensure detailed records are maintained for all work carried out in line with company policies and industry regulations.

Qualifications

Experience in HGV vehicle maintenance and repair, including diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults

Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and understanding vehicle systems and safety standards

Formal qualifications in heavy vehicle maintenance (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)

Awareness of health, safety, and environmental regulations

Strong problem-solving and prioritization skills to work effectively under pressure

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Full UK driving license; an HGV license is advantageous
