Waste Collection Driver

Collecting waste from businesses. Handling bulky waste collections from both domestic and commercial customers. Delivering bins to new customers and removing used bins.

Driving a range of vehicles including: 7.5 tonne caged vehicles, 12 tonne waste vehicles, 26 tonne waste vehicles.

Job Types: Full-time, Temp to perm.

Trainee HGV Driver Program

Our client, a leading national logistics provider, is seeking a reliable and experienced Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Driver to join their team.

HGV Class 2 Driver – Plymouth

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well‑known client based in the Plymouth area.

Shifts: 40 hours a week across Monday to Sunday.

Hours:

  • Days – 04:00 am to 05:00 am starts through week. Sunday starts 11 am to 12 pm.
  • Nights – 01:30 am start.

Pay Rate:

  • Days – £14.60 per hour PAYE.
  • Nights – £15.61 per hour PAYE.

Location: Plymouth, PL6. Job Type: Ongoing with the opportunity for permanent.

Role:

  • Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to and from sub depots and delivery units.
  • Handling runs with 1‑5 delivery stops, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.
  • Utilise tail lift and pump truck equipment for loading and unloading.
  • Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Empty the vehicle and refuel at the end of each shift.
  • Complete a theory and practical assessment to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards and then complete a few days paid training if assessment is successful.

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C).
  • Valid and in‑date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
  • No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
  • Full understanding of WTD legislation.
  • Ability to operate tail lift and pump truck equipment.
