Health Care Assistant – Sponsored

Sponsored role for UK residents, providing home care services in Hexham, Corbridge, Riding Mill and nearby areas. The position offers competitive pay (£12.60‑£13.00 per hour) along with training, benefits and career development opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Help clients with everyday living tasks such as dressing, grooming and bathing.
• Assist clients with transfers and mobility.
• Track and report any changes in the physical or mental health of service users.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Help feed and transport meals to clients when required.
• Keep thorough and current records of care plans and client progress.
• Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure high‑quality care for clients.

Requirements

• At least six months of prior experience in a similar home‑care position.
• Ready to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Vehicle availability; a UK driver’s licence is recommended.
• Kind, sympathetic, and patient disposition.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn new skills and participate in training.
• Comfortable working under pressure and performing well in stressful situations.
