About the Role:

Transport Supervisor

Location: Hatchery – Ower, Hampshire
Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum

We are currently seeking a Transport Supervisor to join our Hatchery team in Ower, Hampshire. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with proven transport and compliance experience to take ownership of transport operations while supporting wider site administration.

Working Hours (40 hours per week)
  • Monday: 06:00 – 14:30
  • Tuesday: 06:00 – 14:30
  • Wednesday: 06:00 – 14:30
  • Thursday: OFF
  • Friday: 06:00 – 14:30
  • Saturday: 06:00 – 14:30
Purpose of the Role

The Transport Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing transport compliance, driver documentation, vehicle scheduling, and transport records, alongside supporting administrative duties at the hatchery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure full compliance with transport legislation through accurate record keeping and monitoring
  • Schedule and manage vehicle inspections, MOTs, LOLERs, tail lift tests, servicing, and repairs
  • Monitor driver hours, working time, infringements, and associated reporting using online systemsCheck and maintain driver documentation every 12 weeks
  • Support drivers with duties, paperwork, and compliance requirements
  • Prepare for and support internal and external transport audits
  • Maintain transport and hatchery records using in-house systems
  • Order fuel, PPE, consumables, and office supplies as required
  • Provide general office and administrative support to the site management team
  • Manage site access, including visitor sign-in and biosecurity vehicle procedures

  • Previous experience in transport administration or supervision (essential)
  • Strong knowledge of transport compliance and record keeping
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Self-motivated with a flexible approach to work
  • CPC qualification preferred but not essential (full training provided)
