About the role: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our enhanced mainstream KS2 provision, supporting pupils with complex needs, including those with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). The prime areas of need within the class are Communication & Interaction (C&I) and Cognition & Learning (C&L), and the successful candidate will play a key role in helping pupils access learning, develop independence, and thrive socially and emotionally. Working closely with the class teacher and wider SEND team, you will provide personalised support in lessons, deliver targeted interventions, and help create a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment. You will contribute to planning and adapting activities, implement strategies to support communication and emotional regulation, and promote the wellbeing, engagement, and progress of each pupil. This is a rewarding role for someone who is patient, proactive, and passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of children with diverse and complex needs.

  • Calm, organised and willing to learn, committed to developing their skills in SEND practice and pupil support.

Working arrangements

The role is 34 hours per week which consists of working:

  • Tuesday, Thursday and Friday – 8:30am – 3:30pm

Each day has a thirty‑minute lunch break.
