A global specialty chemicals company is seeking a Group Credit Analyst to manage customer credit assessments and ensure compliance with credit policies at their Ellesmere Port site. Responsibilities include assessing both customer and country risks, maintaining customer profiles, and reviewing legal contracts. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in commercial credit risk assessment and SAP knowledge, with attractive benefits including hybrid working, a competitive salary, and study support.
We have a vacancy for a Group Credit Analyst to join the Group Credit Control Department, based at our Ellesmere Port site, Cheshire.
Assess both customer and country risk in line with the Group Credit Policy. Create and/or amend any new and existing customers for the business units customer accounts and ensure Group/Local credit limits are in place for all customers. Obtain approvals on credit files, use credit reference agency software, review risk and limits at regular intervals as defined by the Group Credit Policy.
Ensure customer profiles, payment terms, names & addresses with ERP system bill to sites are set up and accurately maintained. Ensure that the credit limits are maintained in line with approved credit files and approval levels. Understand Legal and compliance holds, functionality and update Invoice due dates if valid within current ERP system.
Review legal contracts for payment terms vs. Incoterms in line with Group Trade Terms; identify any potential compliance risks on both Country and Customers to GCM. Co-ordinate new customer set up self-audits within the Credit team.
Ensure each customer is reviewed for Country risk and ensure these fall in line with min/max payment days and min/max payment methods approved. Validate information and discuss any country risk issues and/or provide relevant commercial justification for non-adherence to the GTT. Request required approvals in line with the Group Credit Policy.
Provide support on collections around the Group when required. Customers will be chased in line with the agreed collections process. Ensure all payment promises and disputes are recorded within ERP system and ensure monthly collection targets are achieved.
Handle in-coming e-mails. Run and action Credit holds within the ERP system and any Ad Hoc tasks.
Provide monthly credit limit, aged debt, and monthly overdue reports and send through to GCM for review.
Review released credit holds, customer master data changes & due dates amended to ensure SOX compliance. Highlight any compliance issues for any remediation necessary to GCM.
SAP knowledge: others as required.
Provide support and cover throughout the team as and when required.
