We’re looking for a motivated and independent individual with a genuine passion for sustainable forest management to support our woodland creation work. Your responsibilities will include identifying suitable sites, developing plans, coordinating planting, maintenance, and grant applications. You will work closely with colleagues across the Duchy, liaise with farmers, contractors and external partners, and help ensure projects meet UKFS and UKWAS standards.
You will also support budget forecasting, contribute to the Woodland Carbon Code administration, and represent the organisation at industry events such as the Royal Cornwall Show and ICF CPD sessions.
Applicants should hold a forestry-related degree (or equivalent). If you are close to completing your studies, we encourage you to apply – appointments can be made subject to successful completion (second-class honours minimum). We look for a professional, driven individual capable of building strong working relationships and a solid understanding of the UK Forestry Standard.
