A local educational institution in Haverfordwest is hiring a part-time Teaching Assistant for the Nurture Unit. The role involves supporting pupils under the supervision of teachers and the leadership team. This position offers a salary range of £26,403 to £27,694 pro rata based on experience and hours worked per week.
Salary: Grade 5 – £26,403 – £27,694 pro rata. Grade 5 – £26,403 for 24 hours per week term time only for 45.8 weeks per annum equating to £15,043.79 pro rata rising to 46.8 weeks, £15,372.26 pro rata per annum after 5 years' service.
Haverfordwest High VC School is seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant (Nurture). This is a part‑time position working 3 days per week. The successful candidate would join us in an environment which promotes excellence, inclusion and high expectations.
The successful candidate will work under the guidance of teachers and members of the school Leadership Team, within an agreed system of supervision to implement work programmes with individual groups, in or out of the classroom. A primary focus of this post will be to provide specific support in implementing the Nurture provision for pupils within the Nurture Unit.
A good standard of education, an understanding of children/young people’s needs and rights, and experience of working with children is essential for this role.
