Job description

As part of our Global Merchandise Planning (GMP) team, youll sit at the heart of ASOSs commercial engine. GMP partners closely with Buying and Merch teams to define our assortment strategy and set purchase targets across divisions ensuring we hold the right stock, in the right place, for our global customers.

As a Global Merchandise Category Analyst, youll support planners and buying teams to build datadriven intake plans, track performance and help shape our category strategy. Youll play a key role in ensuring stock investment aligns with customer demand across fulfilment centres and markets.

The Details
  • Work closely with Buying teams to understand product strategies and translate these into datadriven intake plans by fulfilment centre.
  • Analyse category and brand performance to ensure stock meets customer demand, identifying risks, opportunities, and emerging trends.
  • Ensure all intake plans roll back accurately to targets for each buying division at FC level.
  • Support Product Group Planners with creating and forecasting WSSIs, sharing insights that drive commercial decisionmaking.
  • Partner with FC Planners to deliver analysis that drives trade and optimises stock flow across key global markets.
  • Provide weekly and adhoc reporting to surface category insights and performance commentary.
  • Maintain accurate system inputs, forecasts, and planning documentation to support commercial alignment.
  • Collaborate across Merch, Buying, Data, and Logistics to ensure a seamless endtoend trading process.

About You
  • Previous experience in planning, merchandising, or supply chain ideally within ecommerce fashion retail.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret large datasets and communicate insights clearly.
  • Highly proficient in Excel, with strong competency in formulas and data manipulation.
  • Experience using SQL and/or PowerBI is ideal but not essential.
  • A collaborative teamplayer who enjoys partnering crossfunctionally to solve commercial problems.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Curious, proactive, and comfortable working in a fastpaced environment.
