Our Geo team undertakes a diverse range of projects across various sectors, to deliver geo‑environmental consultancy services backed up by in‑house ground investigation services. We have an opportunity for a Geo‑Environmental Consultant to join our team working in contaminated land, site investigation and brownfield redevelopment across a variety of market sectors including property & regeneration, defence estates and transport. Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with the design, procurement, supervision and management of geotechnical and geo‑environmental ground investigations.
• Undertaking desk‑top study assessments.
• Accurate collection, analysis and interpretation of site data.
• Producing detailed reports.
• Undertaking ground gas & groundwater monitoring works and assessment.

Qualifications & Skills

• About 3–5 years’ experience in a similar role.
• A degree in geology, engineering geology, environmental science or a related subject.
• Strong analytical, written, communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent teamwork skills but also able to work independently and use initiative.
• Full driving licence (manual).
• Experience of managing and supervising ground investigation on site, including groundwater and ground gas monitoring, and the skills and knowledge to interpret data. Accreditations/qualifications such as SMSTS, SSSTS, CSCS, 1st‑aid etc are an advantage.
• Knowledgeable in current practice and governing standards/guidance for the investigation and remediation of contaminated land and able to produce Phase 1 geo‑environmental desk‑top study reports incorporating preliminary risk assessment and Phase 2 interpretative reports including qualitative and generic quantitative risk assessments.
• Good understanding of health, safety and environmental management.
