Introduction

Position/Task Grade: EEE. Department: Technology Strategy. Business Unit: Group technology. Reporting to Chief Technology and Information Officer, the General Manager IT OT Strategy will be responsible for providing direction and leadership for the organisation’s strategic technological direction, drive innovation, create a competitive edge in the market, ensure long-term success, formulate, publish, monitor implementation, communicate and share the technology strategic plan for the organisation regarding all information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT) aspects with all relevant parties. Please note that the successful candidate can be appointed as either a permanent employee or on a Fixed Term Contract basis*

  • Determine the vision and roadmap for IT and OT technology across Eskom.
  • Compile the network plan.

  • Compile the innovation plan.
  • Compile the artificial intelligence (AI) plan.
  • Compile the enterprise architecture (EA) plan.
  • Integrate the Group Technology strategic plan into the Eskom corporate plan.
Qualifications
  • B Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science/Engineering/Business
  • Administration/Business Management at NQF7 with 360 credits or a
  • B Tech in Information Technology/Computer Science / Engineering/ Business Administration/ Business Management at NQF7 with 360 credits or
  • Advanced Diploma in Information Technology/ Computer Science / Engineering/ Business Administration/ Business Management at NQF7 with 360 credits.
Related Minimum Experience

10 Year’s extensive experience in technology with focus on strategic plan construction and articulation.
