A further education institution in Hereford seeks a Full-time Lecturer/Course Tutor in Computing to teach various Computing & IT subjects from level 2 to Level 5. Responsibilities include delivering lessons in well-equipped classrooms and participating in student welfare and course management. Ideal candidates should possess a minimum of HND in a relevant computing discipline and be willing to train for teaching experience. Teach a range of specialist theory and practical Computing & IT subjects and units from level 2 up to Level 5 (HND) to full‑time further and higher education students studying a range of BTEC/Pearson Computing & IT qualifications.
Programming, Networking, Software Engineering, Project Management, Artificial Intelligence & Intelligent Systems, Database Design and Development, Cyber Security and Game Development.
Deliver teaching across the selected subjects at our Hereford campus in well‑equipped computing classrooms.
Carry out associated organisational and administrative processes: preparation of work, marking and assessment, course tutorship, student welfare and counselling.
Support and participate fully in ongoing Faculty and College activities to achieve the College’s mission and objectives.
Maintain computing network and infrastructure as required.
Fully qualified (minimum HND) in a relevant computing discipline.
Relevant work/industrial experience within the computing industry is desirable; recent HE graduates without extensive industry experience will also be considered.
Those without teaching experience but willing to train towards it are welcome to apply.
