You’ve built a career supporting others. This is fostering – but not as you know it. This is Lleol Fostering, where maintaining locality is hugely important and there are children and young people in and around the Flintshire area who need more than a traditional fostering placement.
We are looking for extraordinary people to join us as Lleol Foster Carers, including those who have worked as Drug & Alcohol Workers or supported individuals and families affected by substance misuse. If you’ve helped people overcome addiction, provided harm reduction advice, or supported recovery journeys, your experience in empathy and resilience could offer a child a safe, therapeutic home where they can build a positive future.
This is a specialist fostering role — supporting young people leaving high-support settings and helping them transition to family life as smoothly as possible. We take a therapeutic approach to professional parenting, offering full training, exceptional support, and a team walking alongside you every step of the way.
This Could Be the Career Change You Never Knew You Were Ready For. If you’ve worked as a Drug & Alcohol Worker, Substance Misuse Support Worker, Recovery Practitioner, or Addiction Counsellor, your expertise in supporting recovery, managing trauma, and promoting resilience could make you an outstanding foster carer.
