Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our food service team at Nottingham School. This part‑time position involves assisting in the preparation and serving of meals, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas, and providing excellent customer service to students and staff. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service and a commitment to promoting a positive dining experience.

5.75 hrs daily

7:30am-1:15pm

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and serving of meals in accordance with established menus and dietary guidelines.
  • Ensure that all food items are stored, prepared, and served in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, dining areas, and food storage spaces.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, following all safety protocols.
  • Support the team in inventory management, including receiving deliveries and monitoring stock levels.
  • Provide friendly and efficient service to students and staff during meal periods.
  • Assist with cleaning and sanitizing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance food service skills and knowledge.
  • Adhere to all school policies and procedures, including those related to food safety and sanitation.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in food service or a related field is a plus, but not required.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
