Job summary

FIRE & SECURITY SERVICE ENGINEER

Job Title: Service & Maintenance Engineer

Reporting to: Service Manager

Location: London and surrounding suburbs

Role Summary: The Security Service & Maintenance Engineer is responsible for completing preventative, reactive and remedial works across a wide variety of domestic and commercial properties to a professional standard of work in and around London.

Job Responsibilities
  • Competently and to regulation, professionally deliver maintenance on integrated electronic fire and security systems.
  • Carry out small works and repairs on domestic and commercial properties.
  • Complete asset logs of equipment on site.
  • Manage own workload throughout the day and ensure completion of each job in a timely manner.
  • Communicate and report to the office on a daily basis.
  • Deal with clients face‑to‑face in a professional manner.
  • Work hours 8 am – 5 pm.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Detailed knowledge of the principles of fire and security systems, British Standards.
  • Relevant qualifications: NSI/LPCB/C&G etc.
  • Ability to carry out preventative maintenance to current standards.
  • Excellent customer‑facing skills.
  • Ability to work openly and cooperatively with others.
  • Experience managing multiple simultaneous activities.
  • Previous experience with systems, CCTV/Access Control, advantage if Entrotec trained or fire alarm experience.
Additional Requirements
  • Experience within the construction industry, or/and fire and security systems.
  • Clear record with zero criminal convictions and ability to pass a CRB/DBS check.
  • Familiarise with company policies and procedures available on the HR system.
