The Position

Reporting to the Management Accountant of the business unit, the Finance Analyst will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and analysis of the management accounts of the Operations and Maintenance (“O&M”) team for Northern Europe, with a focus on the indirect cost of sales and overheads. The ideal candidate will have strong financial acumen, excellent analytical skills and the ability to work to and prioritise multiple tasks and deadlines.

This role will work side by side with the Asset Management (“AM”) Services Finance team members to ensure that knowledge is shared and processes aligned to meet the needs of the key stakeholders.

Accountabilities
  • Analyse actual versus budgeted indirect costs and overheads and identify key drivers, risks, and cost‑saving opportunities
  • Assist with monthly management reports and variance explanations
  • Assist with the month end processes within SAP and other finance systems
  • Maintain coding structure for the O&M departments within SAP
  • Assist with process improvements to enhance cost tracking, reporting accuracy, and financial controls
  • Support with the budgeting and forecasting processes

Experience
  • Experience of monthly, quarterly and annual management accounting routines within a commercial organisation
  • Experience of using an ERP system (use of SAP and IFS a distinct advantage but not essential)
  • Experience in communicating with non‑financial internal stakeholders would be beneficial
Qualifications
  • Studying ACA/ACCA/CIMA
  • AAT qualified/part qualified
  • Degree or the equivalent in a finance discipline
