This role is ideal for someone who excels in tendering, cost assessment, customer liaison, and supporting the successful delivery of projects. You will play a key role in preparing accurate and competitive quotations while maintaining strong relationships with customers and the wider supply chain.## ## **Key Responsibilities****Tendering & Cost Assessment*** Assess tender documentation and develop accurate cost estimates.* Prepare and submit bids, quotations, and supporting commercial information.* Build up the cost of allocated tenders and quotes in a precise and timely manner.* Ensure contract requirements, terms, and conditions do not place the company at risk.**Collaboration & Communication*** Maintain effective communication with customers and the supply chain, offering guidance where required.* Liaise with Operational and QS teams during quote and tender preparation.* Maintain and develop relationships with existing and potential customers to support ongoing and future opportunities.* Participate in selected quality submissions and similar tender-related deliverables.**Commercial & Performance Insight*** Review contract performance against estimates and identify opportunities for improvements to systems and procedures.* Maintain regular communication with selected customers to understand prospective works, financial submission standings, and early award notifications.* Promote the company professionally at all times to strengthen customer relationships and secure preferential treatment where possible.**Compliance, Safety & Development*** Comply with the Heidelberg Materials Compliance Policy.* Ensure all business operations are carried out in accordance with company instructions and procedures, preventing fraudulent activities.* Adhere to the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and company safety policies.* Support continuous improvement of health and safety performance.* Maintain up-to-date knowledge essential for the role and participate in training as required.* Comply with all HR policies and procedures.## ## **About You*** Previous experience in estimating, cost analysis, or commercial support within a similar environment.* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.* Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.* Ability to interpret tender documentation and assess risk.* Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple deadlines.At Heidelberg Materials, we don’t just offer jobs—we build careers.
