Job description
Equine Veterinary Surgeon, Oakhill Vets, Lancashire

Practice: Oakhill Veterinary Centre Limited

Oakhill Equine Vets are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic ambulatory equine veterinary surgeon to join our thriving 15‑vet team. Currently, we are seeking a candidate with experience in the equine sector, due to an experienced vet relocating.

Responsibilities
  • Enjoy being part of a larger team and all the benefits that comes along with it – a good work/life balance, plenty of ears to listen to your case problems and an established clinic including full theatre facilities and diploma holders on hand to help whenever required.
  • An interest in reproduction and export work would be useful but is not essential.
  • Work a 4.5‑day working week with time off in lieu of weekend work on first call. The OOH rota is equally shared, with two vets on call at all times to distribute the load.
  • Provide a safe workplace with good communication.
  • Participate in monthly business, learning and development meetings, including journal clubs, medicine rounds, Friday evening pub jaunts and even the odd yoga session!
Benefits
  • All usual RCVS/VDS/CPD allowance benefits are included as part of the package.
  • Shared OOH rota with two vets on call at all times.

We usually encourage applicants to come to our base in Goosnargh to get a feel for our team vibe, which is unlike any other around! To arrange a visit or if you have any questions call Rosie on07714754116.
