The Position
Environmental & Sustainability Manager
The Opportunity

You'll play a pivotal role in embedding our global ESG commitments into everyday operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and inspiring cultural change. What You'll Do
  • Develop and deliver sustainability strategies that align with Roche's global standards, ISO 14001, and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental laws and reporting frameworks (ISO 14001, CDP, GRI, REACH, WEEE).
  • Lead initiatives to measure, analyse, and reduce carbon emissions, energy, water, waste, and resource use.
  • Partner with teams, suppliers, and industry networks to drive sustainable practices and share expertise.
  • Design and deliver training to build awareness and capability across the organisation.
  • Support sustainable product and process innovation, from procurement choices to circular economy initiatives.
  • Establish and track KPIs, ensuring transparent reporting and continuous improvement.
What You Bring
  • A degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field.
  • Experience in environmental management or sustainability (healthcare, pharma, or diagnostics desirable).
  • Strong knowledge of UK, Ireland, and international environmental regulations and reporting frameworks.
  • Proven ability to manage projects, engage stakeholders, and influence at all levels.
  • Analytical skills to translate complex data into actionable insights.
