About the role

Our Coleraine site is the largest processed cheese manufacturer in the UK. It manufactures individually wrapped slices of cheese for the retail trade and cheese slices for catering and fast‑food sectors.

We currently have a vacancy for a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer, working a rotating 12‑hour shift pattern across days, nights and weekends to support planned and reactive maintenance across the 4 lines within our 2 local manufacturing plants.

What you'll be doing

  • 12-hour shift support to the 4 lines across 2 manufacturing plants.
  • Detailed planned maintenance work to be carried out in all plants in line with PPM schedules.
  • Carry out reactive repairs to keep the plants fully operational. Carry out fault finding methods to ensure root causes are found and resolved.
  • Drive to improve reliability figures across the site.
  • Controlled shutdown and startup of equipment.
  • Be actively involved in new installations installation, commissioning and ramp up.
  • Booking out of spare items from stock.
  • Be part of the site energy reduction team reducing our CO2/TTO.
  • Support the other functions onsite Quality and Operations.
  • Carry out PTW and LOTOTO for safe methods of work.

What you can bring to the role

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Time served apprenticeship in an electrical, mechanical or mechatronic maintenance discipline.
  • Food Safety or manufacturing experience a preference but not essential.
  • Mechanical or Electrical knowledge (Dual‑skilled preferable).
  • Working knowledge of PLC control.
  • Good time management.

As a core member of the Infrastructure team, you’ll be responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing support of our on‑premise and cloud infrastructure. Your day‑to‑day will include:

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a proactive and technically skilled IT Infrastructure Engineer to help us build, secure, and maintain the systems that keep our business running safely and efficiently.

  • Strong experience in infrastructure engineering across Windows environments
  • Strong experience in implementing and managing technologies such as Active Directory, Windows Servers, MS‑SQL, Citrix, Cisco switching, firewalls, DMZ, and cloud platforms like AWS
  • Solid understanding of networking, firewalls, and cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
  • Hands‑on experience with patching, monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery
  • Experience with cyber security principles, tools, and frameworks
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and automation

Bonus if you have: Experience managing Microsoft 365 environments, email filtering, large file transfer applications, and a passion for building new processes that make infrastructure more secure and resilient.

Due to new production lines opening, we currently have a vacancy for Multi‑skilled Maintenance Engineers, working a rotating 12‑hour shift pattern across days, nights and weekends to support planned and reactive maintenance across our Coleraine manufacturing site.

What will I be doing?

  • Complying with Health and Safety Policies to ensure safety first.
  • Responsible for Electrical and Mechanical maintenance, including preventative maintenance and breakdowns.
  • Delivering all maintenance within mandatory and statutory Health & Safety obligations.
  • Working with Production shift managers and production teams to ensure plant efficiency targets are met.
  • Ensuring all food safety standards are adhered to during any maintenance activity.
  • Maintaining material stock levels, including booking out of spare parts.
  • Responsible for contractors while working on site.
  • Ensuring a high standard of housekeeping in all engineering areas.
  • Involvement in new installations and projects as required.
  • Developing and updating work instruction sheets and risk assessments.

What do I need to be successful?

Grow sales of cutting tools in key accounts through technical engagement, specification, and aftercare.

The Ideal Person

  • Engineering background with practical knowledge of machining or production engineering.
