Primary Accountability

The Engineering Manager is accountable for

• Function as the site Duty Holder with respect to Statutory Engineering Compliance
• Execution of the FSG Group Engineering Maintenance & Reliability Strategy
• Execute the local CAPEX/Major Maintenance programme
• Execute sound Project Management methodology (PMM) for all project works
• Execute Plant & Equipment restoration and maintenance to the required standards
• Consistent application of those standards across the site.
• Co-ordination and standardisation of Site Engineering Safety Rules and procedures
• Site Engineering and Maintenance skills and competency reflect the overall needs of the business and its customers
  
  

Key Objectives of the Role

• Ensure building/plant & equipment, modification, upkeep, and maintenance activity is conducted in accordance with the relevant Engineering Standards, Codes of Practice & Regulations
• Ensure Statutory/Regulatory Engineering & Maintenance activities are completed, and corrective actions implemented in consultation with the Site SLT
• Develop and use of Reliability Centred maintenance RCM principals, which can be implemented through TPM.
• Manage and participate in Site Daily Management activities as required and ensure the Maintenance Team are also fully engaged in those activities at all relevant levels.
• Execute the Group Engineering Strategy at Site level and be an advocate for it, ensuring that the Maintenance Team fully understand it and are working to support its implementation.
• Use a robust Project Management Method (PMM) and Operational Calendar that will facilitate efficient and effective management of CAPEX/Major Maintenance, and support the Site SIOP process
• Lead, coach, and support the roll-out of Autonomous Maintenance (AM) and Planned Maintenance (PM) activities.
• Support the overall FSG Group Planned Maintenance strategy and governance with respect to the implementation of the principals, technologies, and data collection techniques.
• Ensure all Engineering & Maintenance KPI’s are reported as required both within the site and within the group
• Support EHS and the SLT with the development of robust Engineering Safety Rules and Procedures development to ensure consistency of application and technical content.
• Co-ordinate development of training and competency within the Maintenance Team with other stakeholders to ensure the team can meet the current and future needs of the business
• Promote CPD for Technicians and Apprentices acting as a mentor where needed.
