A leading educational service provider in the UK is looking for an Independent End-Point Assessor to evaluate apprenticeship candidates in the children, young people, and family sector. The ideal candidate should hold a Level 4 qualification and have relevant assessment experience. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, maintaining quality assurance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This position is part-time with travel needed to various employer locations.
Independent End-Point Assessor for Children, Young People and Families Practitioner (Level 4) – Yorkshire Area. The Government requires an end-point assessment (EPA) as a holistic evaluation of the knowledge, skills and behaviour demonstrated throughout the apprenticeship. Pearson provides employers with confidence that completing an apprenticeship makes a candidate fully job-ready and that assessments are consistent across locations.
An independent End-Point Assessor (IEA) must have no conflict of interest with the apprentice’s on-programme training provider and must not have been involved in the apprentice’s on-programme training, assessment, or line management. End-point assessments will be conducted onsite on dates agreed with employers/providers, and EPA outcomes will be recorded and submitted with clear justifications for grading decisions. EPA activities will be quality assured by Pearson representatives. IEAs for this EPA will be qualified assessors who meet the occupational profile of the apprentices they assess, and who are trained, standardised and approved to operate as IEAs. IEAs will undertake EPAs in line with the associated apprenticeship assessment plan and Pearson materials.
