We have established customers in aerospace (both civil and military), as well as in the nuclear, oil and gas, chemical and pharmaceutical sectors.

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to install, maintain, and repair plant, machinery, and equipment to a high standard while ensuring safety at all times. The role includes carrying out routine electrical maintenance, responding quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime, and installing new electrical services in line with regulations and manufacturer guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair plant, machinery, and equipment to a high standard while ensuring safety at all times.
  • Carry out routine electrical maintenance and respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime.
  • Install new electrical services in line with regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Work safely and responsibly, following all Safe Systems of Work, COSHH requirements, and PPE standards.
  • Ensure tools, machinery, and equipment are used correctly and report any defects immediately.
  • Collaborate with Production Team Leaders to schedule maintenance with minimal disruption.
  • Support troubleshooting activities and help identify preventive maintenance improvements.
  • Assist with out‑of‑hours breakdowns and support purchasing of maintenance consumables and equipment.
Qualifications

Essential:

  • Experienced electrician with minimum 4 years and completed electrical apprenticeship.
  • Strong technical ability across motors, drives, PLC panels, calibration, testing and inspection (17th/18th Edition).
  • Independent and team‑working skills, clear communication, ability to read drawings and design installations.
  • Problem‑solving effectiveness.
  • Experience working at height (including MEWPs).
  • Safety‑first attitude, good time management, organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Practical skills, supplier liaison experience, positive collaborative approach.

Desirable:

  • Computer literacy.
  • Additional relevant qualifications.
