Job overview

Cambridge University Hospitals is the first UK hospital to implement the Epic electronic patient record (EPR) system. An opportunity has arisen for an Application Analyst to join the MyChart patient portal team.

This is an exciting and challenging role, at the heart of the transformation of clinical and patient services providing high-quality care supported by a world class electronic patient record system.

We welcome applications from individuals who have strong technical and analytical capabilities, enjoy problem solving, and understand the nature of modular work in large and complex organisations.

You will be provided with training to achieve accreditation in the required Epic modules.

As part of the interview process, we require you to sit a basic assessment testing your literacy, logic and numerical skills.

Main duties of the job

As an eHospital Application Analyst, you will be qualified in at least one Epic application (training provided) and will work within the eHospital MyChart team.

You will communicate regularly with patients, clinicians and service managers, listening to and analysing their needs.

You will modify the Epic system using configuration tools to tailor the system to ensure the patient portal works effectively for our patients and staff.

You will help to test the system thoroughly to ensure that it is safe, usable, secure and robust.

You will provide support to end-users through regular meetings and the IT Service Desk.
