A leading financial institution in Manchester is offering a Graduate Programme focused on economic crime over two years, with a starting salary of £29,500. You will support the Economic Crime Strategy, gaining experience in fraud investigations and working in several teams. Applicants are required to have a strong passion for data and analysis, along with a minimum of a 2:1 degree. The programme includes a hybrid work model with opportunities for growth and mentorship.
Economic Crime Programme (data) (2 years)
We help the group to prevent financial crime for our customers. The role will be accountable for supporting the Economic Crime Strategy, Systems & Analytics Team, with an opportunity to develop understanding of the Group’s fraud and anti-money laundering controls across the wider Financial Crime operational teams. This is a great opportunity to develop regulatory and compliance understanding whilst working in a fast-paced team. You will have the opportunity to complete fraud investigations, be responsible for the collation of key management information, and work with business stakeholders, third parties, and service providers to assess existing Group systems and processes for potential vulnerabilities/improvements. You will be encouraged to monitor industry intelligence to gain knowledge and experience of common financial crime controls and fraudsters’ tactics which will give you the opportunity to create threat intelligence reports on incidents in the industry which will be shared with the relevant audiences.

Placements will vary depending on business needs at the time as well as being tailored to your areas of interest. Each placement is designed to develop your commercial and strategic thinking, negotiation and influencing skills and understanding of how our Bank works. Our two and three year Graduate schemes provide a structured development programme. You’ll develop key leadership skills and competencies and gain knowledge and experience through a series of placements across your chosen business area.
