A leading engineering firm is seeking a Mechanical Engineer III to design and develop new aviation products. The successful candidate will have over 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering, particularly in component design. Responsibilities include collaborating across departments, ensuring compliance with FAA guidelines, and supporting prototypes and pre-production efforts. Summary: Creates and develops new products as well as supports existing product enhancements for the aviation division of Whelen, also known as Whelen Aerospace Technologies. Candidate will follow the design process starting with concept initiation and follow it through total product assembly and functionality testing. The process will be facilitated by leveraging the understanding of core concepts in Mechanical Engineering. Candidate engages in continuous learning of the fundamentals of Mechanical Engineering.
Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and third parties. This ability to communicate requires the employee to be conversant in English as the majority of our workforce and the third parties that we encounter only speak English.
