Overview

An opportunity has arisen to join North Tyneside as a Team Manager within our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub. This position is a part-time role at 18.5 hours.

Responsibilities
  • As a Team Manager, ensure work is of high quality, child-centred and non-jargon so families understand what we are writing about them and what we are saying.
  • Work with other Team Managers in a supportive team, develop staff in their use of Signs of Safety and their ability to reflect on practice to achieve good outcomes for children and young people.
  • Oversee and contribute to case management within the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub, ensuring alignment with statutory requirements and safeguarding best practice.
Qualifications
  • Qualified social worker with at least five years’ experience in statutory social work in one or more of the following areas: child in need plans, child protection assessments and plans, and children in the care of the local authority.
  • Experience of working in partnership with children, their families, wider networks and professional colleagues across education, health, police and the voluntary sector.
  • Excellent written skills and proficiency in IT. Willingness to use devices and training in LCS, the electronic child record system.
Additional requirements and environment
  • Safeguarding intervention is challenging; staff welfare is prioritised with regular group supervision and accessible senior management.
  • Flexible and agile working arrangements, generous annual leave entitlement and access to health and wellbeing supports.
  • North Tyneside uses the Signs of Safety practice model and supports ongoing professional development.
  • The position requires an enhanced DBS check.
