An educational organization in Manchester is looking for a GCSE English Tutor to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons. The role involves planning lessons, assessing learner work, and motivating students to achieve their best. Applicants should have a degree in a relevant subject and hold GCSE English at Grade 5 or above. Teaching qualifications are desirable but not mandatory; support will be provided to obtain one. Location: Access Sport - covering Manchester/Wyke/Bury/Hyde/Chorley
Salary Scale: £29,000 - £35,000
You will make English relevant to our young people, through your inclusive lesson planning and delivery. You will mark and assess learner work, setting high expectations and motivating them to be the best that they can be. You will have an understanding of methods and good practice in reviewing and evaluating teaching & learning and behaviour management strategies.

You will be a role model, providing learners with an exceptional educational experience that will enable them to maximise their potential. You will have up-to-date knowledge and an understanding of the GCSE English curriculum and experience with exam board requirements. You will hold GCSE English and English GCSEs at Grade 5 (or equivalent) or above and you will have a degree in a related subject.
A teaching qualification is desirable but if you don’t have one, Access Sport will fund and support you to get one. A successful track record of delivering GCSE English would be the icing on the cake, however, this could be an ideal development opportunity for a newly qualified teacher or English graduate looking to get into teaching.
You will work with experienced, passionate tutors as well as within a support service provided by our Central Team. Working at Access Sport means working with learners who are engaged and enthusiastic about the education they are gaining.

Originally established in 2006 and formerly known as Coaching Connexions, Access Sport was created in 2019 following a merger with the biggest private training provider in the country Access Creative College (formerly Access to Music).
