A leading veterinary practice in Acton is seeking a part-time veterinary surgeon to join their team. This role offers the chance to work two days a week, performing consultations and routine surgeries, supported by a dedicated nursing team and regional management. With a competitive salary of £25,312 to £33,855 inclusive of a weekend rotation, applicants will benefit from generous annual leave, CPD support, and private medical insurance. About your new role!
Acton is set in an old bank complete with original vault and is also part of the ISFM cat friendly scheme and is proud to be involved with lots of work for the Cats Protection Charity, so this role will be purrfect for our vets with a feline bias!
You will be working alongside a senior vet on one of your days conducting consultations, performing routine surgeries and triaging any emergencies that may arise. You have a fantastic established nursing team including experienced RVNs for your go to support! You will also be fully supported by an incredibly experienced regional manager, and regional head vet.
This GP first opinion role involves working Mondays and Tuesdays plus a 1:4 branch Saturday and 1:16 hospital Sunday rotation, plus 1 bank holiday per year.
There are NO on‑call requirements.
The Mandeville Veterinary Hospital in Northolt provides out of hours support for Acton. This impressive hospital has state of the art 24 hr facilities including CT, excellent ultrasound facilities, scopes, laparoscopic equipment, and an array of specialists, so your patients will be well looked after if they needed more advanced treatment, or an overnight stay.

The practice could not have a more ideal location, being literally opposite the Acton underground station on the Elizabeth Tube Line, which takes you straight into central and east London in one direction, and through to Heathrow airport in the other for those much‑needed getaways!

The salary for this part‑time role inclusive of weekend rotation is £25,312 to £33,855 (£45,000 to £61,000 FTE) depending on experience and allowing room for growth within the role.
