A family-run care organisation in Bristol seeks an experienced Deputy Manager for a new supported living service. We’re looking for an experienced, confident and values-led Deputy Manager to join our brand-new team at Elizabeth Close in Oldland Common. This bespoke supported living service will support adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs as they move out of specialist hospitals or secure environments and take their next steps towards living safely and independently in the community.
This is a rare opportunity to help shape a brand-new service from the ground up, and play a leading role in supporting individuals with complex needs to grow and thrive.
Oldland Common is a newly built development offering six self-contained homes for adults aged 18 and over. The service is designed for people with high levels of complexity, including behaviours that challenge, communication differences, autism, learning disabilities, mental health needs and, in some cases, forensic histories.
Our aim is to support people to resettle successfully into the community, develop independence, build meaningful routines and live safe, fulfilling lives. Support is typically delivered on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis, depending on the needs of each individual.
As the Deputy Manager, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the service, supporting the Registered Manager and helping lead a team that provides safe, structured and person-centred support. You’ll help ensure high-quality practice, strong communication and a consistent approach across the staff team.
