Overview

HS2, Britain’s new high-speed railway is at peak construction. Balfour Beatty VINCI is HS2’s construction partner in the Midlands, responsible for delivering 90km of the route, from Long Itchington in Warwickshire to the centre of Birmingham and on to Handsacre in Staffordshire. Current Opportunity: Health & Safety Apprentice - Level 3

Location: Based in Coventry - the South Region comprises Sublots 2B, 2A and 1A Long Itchington Wood. It stretches for approximately 39.2km from Finham Brook to Southam through a mixture of rural and suburban landscapes

Role Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting risk assessments and identifying potential hazards.
• Participate in safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with UK Health and Safety Law, HS2 and BBV Health and Safety Process and Procedures.
• Help in the review and collation of Health and Safety actions, action plans, and contribute to the preparation of reports and dashboards.
• Provide administrative support to the Health and Safety team as needed.
• A keen interest in health and safety and a desire to pursue a career in this field
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work well in a team and independently.
• Full UK Driving License Required
