A leading legal service provider in Bolton is seeking a Pre Litigated Motor File Handler to manage complex credit hire claims. The ideal candidate will have experience in credit hire and excellent communication skills. This role offers hybrid working, allowing only one day in the office per week, and provides a comprehensive benefits package, including 25 days of holiday and pension contributions. You'll play a crucial role in investigating claims up to £25,000 and reducing costs for insurer clients.

Qualifications

  • Experience of handling Credit Hire files with evidence of managing own case load.
  • Education - at least 5 GCSEs or equivalent are essential and a degree / LPC is preferable.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise workloads.

Description

Are you skilled in credit hire and passionate about delivering outstanding service? We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Credit Hire File Handler to join our team.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to investigate Complex credit hire claims from a tactical and strategic point. The role of the File Handler is to carry out complex & technical investigations on claims submitted from specific opponents. These claims will be up to £25,000 in value.

This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of an incredible team and gain more experience in investigating credit hire claims with a view to significantly reducing the overall spend for our Insurer clients.

  • Experience of credit hire is essential. The applicant would be expected to have been working in an environment where they have been exposed to credit hire cases for at least 12 months.
  • Understanding of Pre Proceedings Credit Hire.
  • The life cycle of a file.
  • Knowledge of common law and litigation principles.
  • An understanding of costs and protective offers.
  • How to prepare a case for litigation.

  • Further career progression will depend on the File Handler aptitude and desire to move to a different business unit dealing with litigated fast track, fraud or multi track work.

Working Hours

35 hours per week.

Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm with 1 unpaid hour for lunch. This is a hybrid role working 1 day in the office and 4 days from home.
